SVOM-F30 and F60

F30

The 30cm telescope (SVOM-F30) is a wide-field robotic telescope, located at the Xinglong observatory in China. The main scientific goal of F30 is to confirm and study the optical transient candidates detected by the SVOM/GWAC systems in multiple wavelengths. A FLI 4K*4K CCD is equipped, making the field of view about 2 degrees. The limiting magnitude is about 16.5 mag in R-band in 30 second exposures. The Johson-basal filters UBVRI, and clear is equipped for F30. This fast follow-up system is used to search for the optical counterparts of Swift gamma-ray bursts, neutrinos, and gravitational-wave events.

F60A and F60B

SVOM-F60A and F60B are twin 60cm optical telescopes, located at the Xinglong observatory of China. Similar to F30, they aim to confirm and study the optical transient candidates detected by GWAC. The Andor 2k*2k CD is equipped for each. The field of view is about 19 arcmin. The limiting magnitude is about 18.5 mag in R band in 60 sec exposures. The Johson-basal filters UBVRI, and clear is equipped for F60. The 60cm telescopes also respond to external Swift gamma-ray bursts target of opportunity observations and can search for the counterparts thanks to an online dedicated data processing system. For the next observational campaign, both 60cm telescopes will be utilized to search for any optical counterparts with a galaxy targeting strategy.
